Alternate All-Mouse Fishing Controls

Hello, part of the allure of sweating to me is that it doesn’t involve my keyboard. It is mouse only activity. I was wondering if there is a way to, after rod has been cast, swap mouse wheel zoom controls to mouse wheel rod controls, and you control the reel up or down with the mouse scroll wheel kind of like pong? It would make fishing more like fishing, and would feel perhaps more precise and comfortable than mashing E key.
